Job summary

Prompt Therapy Solutions, Inc is seeking a Benefits Verification and Auth Specialist for evenings and overnight shifts in a flexible schedule. The role ensures after-hours coverage for next-day appointments, verifies insurance eligibility, and identifies required authorizations to support a smooth revenue cycle.

Responsibilities include validating coverage, determining patient financial responsibility, and handing off remaining items to daytime teams. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in benefit verification, medical insurance, or prior authorization.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and government payers, insurance policies, and healthcare terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills across patients, providers, and payers.
• Familiarity with payer authorization portals and workflows.
• Knowledge of denial management and insurance appeal processes.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make sound decisions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor next-day appointments for coverage added after daytime BVA coverage.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to next-day services.
• Determine patient responsibility for copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
• Prioritize work based on appointment timing to address earliest next-day cases.
• Identify prior authorization requirements and complete next steps when possible.
• Document authorization needs or barriers for follow-up during daytime hours.
• Record benefit verification and authorization details clearly in the system.
• Provide clear handoffs to the daytime BVA team for items not completed overnight.
• Collaborate with BVA, scheduling, billing, and AR teams to ensure workflow consistency.
• Identify trends in late-added appointments and barriers and elevate as needed.
