Prompt is hiring a Benefits Verification and Auth Specialist to provide after-hours coverage for next-day appointments. You will verify insurance eligibility, determine patient financial responsibility, and coordinate with providers and payers to prevent denials.

The role supports a hybrid work model with evenings/overnight shifts and flexible start times. Experience in benefit verification or prior authorization, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in benefit verification, medical insurance, or prior authorization.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and government payers, insurance policies, and healthcare terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to work across patients, providers, and payers.
• Familiarity with payer authorization portals and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Monitor schedules for next-day appointments and late data entries.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to next-day services.
• Determine patient responsibility for copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.
• Prioritize work by appointment timing to address earliest next-day needs.
• Identify and document prior authorization requirements and steps.
