Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a healthcare customer service professional to verify patient eligibility, coordinate benefits, run test claims, and determine patient coverage and responsibility for services. You will handle inbound and outbound calls with customers, physician offices, patients, or third-party providers, following SOPs and procedures under supervision.

You will ensure all contacts receive efficient, courteous service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in healthcare or call center.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Basic PC skills and MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound PBM and major medical insurance calls.
• Resolve questions following SOPs; load PBM plans.
• Process non-clinical PBM rejections and prior authorizations.
• Assist physicians with prior authorization.
• Verify benefits for Major Medical; confirm network status.
• Document interactions and actions taken.
• May cross-train on MM and specialized PBM plans.
• Provide education on grant applications and copay assistance.
