Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) - Division of Youth Services seeks a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator to lead Behavioral Health and Medical Services staff, align services with NCCHC standards and DYS policies, and ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care across the state.

The role requires extensive clinical leadership, program development, and oversight of workflows, with travel for monitoring and partnership liaison.

Qualifications

Eleven (11) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position equal to eleven (11) years.
Masters degree and licensed as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
Doctorate in Psychology and be licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Colorado.
Extensive knowledge of the mental health system and the juvenile justice system.
Experience with formal training associated with assessment and treatment of youth with juvenile justice involvement and neuropsychological impairment.

Responsibilities

Supervisory leadership to Behavioral Health and Medical Services staff; manage workloads and training.
Ensure program fidelity and consistent use of the electronic health record; support workforce competency.
Collaborate with facility leadership to promote evidence-informed services across DYS facilities.
Travel to oversee the unit's auditing and liaison activities with partners and facilities.
