Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Patient Engagement Specialist to remotely coordinate access to behavioral health care by handling intake, scheduling, eligibility verification, referrals, and matching patients with appropriate providers. You will be a key liaison between patients and care teams to ensure a seamless experience.

This nationally scoped role supports a patient‑facing workflow within 8:00 AM–11:00 PM EST hours, with preference for Eastern or Mountain time zones.

Qualifications

2+ years in healthcare coordination, patient access, intake, customer service, outreach, or call center ops.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional, empathetic patient interaction.
Ability to manage multiple worklists, priorities, and follow-up tasks independently.
Proven experience with multiple channels of communication (phone, email, chat, etc.).
Comfort working remotely with privacy-conscious workspace.

Responsibilities

Conduct preliminary screening and assessment of individuals seeking services within established timeframes.
Manage targeted outreach lists to support intake conversion and patient engagement.
Use strong communication to build trust with scheduled, prospective, inactive, or overdue patients to encourage scheduling and pre-visit readiness.
Assist patients with understanding next steps, visit expectations, scheduling needs, and appointment readiness.
Proactively manage provider panels and waitlists to maximize patient access and provider productivity.
Support provider panels by assisting with high-risk patient lists, overdue follow-ups, and re-engagement.
Initiate and support outreach campaigns (intake conversion, no-show reduction, re-engagement, rescheduling).
Track outreach outcomes using approved systems and reporting tools.
Escalate patient concerns or access issues through appropriate channels.
Collaborate with behavioral health operations, providers, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
