Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Patient Engagement Specialist to remotely coordinate access to behavioral health care, manage patient intake, verify eligibility, and match patients with appropriate providers. The role supports scheduling, referrals, and provider panel optimization within a national program.

You will schedule appointments, maintain patient privacy, and operate within 8:00 AM–11:00 PM EST, with preference for Eastern or Mountain time zones.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare coordination, patient access, intake coordination, customer service, inside sales, outreach, or call center operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage patients professionally and empathetically.
• Ability to manage multiple worklists, priorities, and follow‑up tasks independently.
• Proven skill managing multiple channels of communication including phone, email, chat, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document outreach activity accurately.
• Comfort working in a metrics‑driven environment.
• Ability to work remotely with a designated workspace that supports patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools or similar productivity/reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient intake and scheduling to facilitate access to behavioral health care.
• Verify eligibility and manage referrals to appropriate providers.
• Support provider panel optimization and continuity of care.
• Engage patients across channels to encourage appointment scheduling.
• Track outreach outcomes and report metrics using approved tools.
• Escalate access issues and workflow barriers to supervisors as needed.
• Collaborate with operations, providers, and cross‑functional teams.
