Job summary

Revive BHS is seeking an experienced Insurance Authorization Supervisor to oversee our authorization operations across multiple payer systems. You will lead the verification and authorization team, ensure timely submissions for initial and ongoing requests, and maintain compliance with payer requirements in behavioral health services.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicaid, and MCOs, with proven supervisory experience and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in insurance authorizations or revenue cycle management within behavioral health.
• Experience supervising a team or leading staff.
• Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and payer-specific utilization guidelines.
• Experience with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicaid managed care organizations.
• Proficiency with payer portals, EHR systems, and authorization tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely submission of initial, concurrent, and continued-stay authorizations.
• Monitor and resolve authorization denials, disputes, and escalations.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to obtain documentation and medical necessity information.
• Maintain adherence to HIPAA, payer requirements, and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain standardized authorization workflows and QA processes.
