Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• 3 years or more of healthcare related authorization experience.
• Some experience in a lead or supervisory role generally required.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare collection and accounts receivables procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily authorization activities and guide staff on standards.
• Oversee authorization management functions and maintain portfolios.
• Advise management on authorization issues at branches.
• Develop plans to keep authorizations within objectives.
• Maintain provider manuals, patient information updates, and logs.
• Ensure timely authorizations and compliance with customer service guidelines.
