Job summary

Athra Systems is seeking a Remote Behavioral Health Charge Entry Specialist to ensure all visits are entered with accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes within the Practice Management System. The role requires independence, strong self-management, and strict HIPAA compliance in a remote setting.

Responsibilities include batch entry, eligibility checks, claims QA, and collaboration with the billing team via Zoom. A high school diploma is preferred, with healthcare billing experience and basic CPT/ICD-10

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred experience in healthcare billing or remote administrative capacity.
• Basic understanding of Behavioral Health CPT and ICD-10 coding and insurance authorization processes.

Responsibilities

• Create charge batches and enter demographic and charge data into the Practice Management system.
• Verify patient information and perform eligibility/benefit checks across portals and EHRs.
• Review and verify insurance claims for accuracy before submission to optimize reimbursement.
• Collaborate with administrative staff, medical personnel, and billing team via Zoom and chat to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, including VPN usage.
