Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Billing Specialist to support the Physician Services Revenue Integrity team in a remote, 40-hour week role. You’ll research and resolve claim denials, own the full billing cycle for assigned clients, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accurate, timely billing.

Strong background in ICD10/CPT, Excel and ERP/Billing systems, plus 1–2 years of medical AR experience, is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years medical accounts receivable experience.
• High-School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with ICD10 and CPT coding and applications.
• Knowledge of full revenue cycle and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Revenue Cycle Services and resolve billing issues and denials requiring clinical expertise.
• Research and resolve claim denials and rejections for assigned clients.
• Own all aspects of the billing cycle: charges, payments, AR metrics.
• Meet deadlines and communicate trends and resolutions to clients.
• Assist in developing processes for each account.
• Monitor industry trends impacting billing operations.
• Provide timely reports to management and escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and laws.
