Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in admissions or customer service in behavioral health is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders is beneficial.
• Ability to assess needs, explain programs, and guide admissions.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and documentation.
• Attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, faxes, and emails from hospitals, detox centers, psychiatric facilities, and physicians' offices.
• Conduct initial telephone screening to determine behavioral health needs and level of care.
• Gather demographic, insurance, medical, psychiatric, and substance use information.
• Explain available behavioral health programs and admission process.
• Verify insurance eligibility and arrange financials.
• Coordinate admission with Bradford Health Services facilities, schedule assessments and admissions.
• Collaborate with case managers and community referrals to ensure continuity of care.
• Track referrals and admissions to ensure timely placement and communication.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the EHR system.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards.
