Whale Song is seeking a true hunter BDR to generate net-new qualified leads through cold outreach and disciplined follow-up. This role emphasizes outbound activity, performance-based earning, and the ability to build momentum from scratch.

You will feed qualified opportunities into the pipeline and report to the Executive Director. Remote-friendly with occasional travel to close deals and nurture client relationships.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in outbound sales development or lead generation.
• Proven ability to cold call and generate net-new opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (email and phone).
• Comfortable with a metrics-driven environment and weekly targets.
• Structured qualification approach (needs, fit, urgency, decision path).
• Organized with good follow-through and time management.
• Experience using a CRM (HubSpot preferred).
• Coachable with bias toward action and execution.

Responsibilities

• Execute outbound prospecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn.
• Identify and target net-new prospects aligned to ICP.
• Generate qualified leads through structured intro and qualification conversations.
• Book and coordinate meetings with qualified prospects for the sales team.
• Maintain accurate, real-time CRM activity tracking.
• Run consistent follow-up cadences to convert prospects into opportunities.
• Improve messaging, objection handling, and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to refine targeting and outreach.
• Meet weekly activity goals and performance targets tied to qualified lead output.
