Job summary

Baltimore Orioles are seeking a Remote Domestic Scouting professional to identify and evaluate amateur prospects for the First-Year Player Draft and other scouting duties. The role requires extensive travel and strong collaboration across the Orioles organization to ensure high-quality evaluations and reports.

Responsibilities include composing reports, organizing workouts, collecting video, and maintaining relationships with players and the baseball community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong ability to self-motivate, self-organize, and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• High computer and internet proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of baseball information & evaluation.
• At least 3 years' experience from a variety of backgrounds (scouting, coaching, education, business, or other).
• Prior playing experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate & recommend amateur players for the First-Year Player Draft.
• Communicate and collaborate with employees throughout the Orioles organization.
• Utilize in-person looks, video, data & technology to enhance decision making on players.
• Compose scouting reports on draft-eligible players.
• Build relationships with players and families of players.
• Build & maintain relationships with members of the baseball community.
• Complete comprehensive assessments of player's backgrounds & makeup.
• Plan and organize workouts for organization to evaluate players.
• Maintain area schedule and prioritize top prospects.
• Collect video on draft eligible players and upload to video system.
• Perform and execute Pro Scouting coverage as assigned.
• Represent Orioles organization in a professional manner.
