The ideal candidate has 15 years of experience (20 preferred), a graduate degree, and one or more certifications (CIRA, CFE, CPA). This is a remote position with responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of experience (required) / Twenty (20) years of experience (preferred).
• Graduate level degree (required).
• One or more Certification required: CIRA, CFE, CPA.

Responsibilities

• Examine corporate structures, including assets, liabilities, secured and unsecured debt, management competence, income, and expenditures to assess feasibility of debtor's plans and operation.
• Assist counsel in reviews and analysis of bankruptcy cases and determine adequacy and accuracy of financial documents.
• Perform technical review of reports and assist counsel with analysis of bankruptcy cases administered by standing and panel trustees to determine adequacy, accuracy, and compliance with standard principles.
• Review audits of trustees by Independent Public Accountants to identify weaknesses in trustee performance requiring action.
• Review trustee accounting statements to ensure bond level requirements are met and make recommendations.
• Perform other legal tasks including accounting, financial analysis, investigative, research and other business tasks.
• AFA shall provide reports and all related work products to the appropriate government official.
