Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Banking Paralegal to join its Structured Finance team, working remotely within the UK. The role offers exposure to high-quality transactional work and sophisticated clients in a specialist banking and structured finance environment.

You will support due diligence, draft basic documentation, manage transaction files, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and help prepare closings while developing your career in commercial law.

Qualifications

• A Law degree at 2:1 or above, or equivalent legal qualification.
• An LPC or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience working as a Banking Paralegal or within a finance-focused legal environment.
• A demonstrable interest in Structured Finance.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership of your workload.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loan due diligence reports.
• Review standard loan documentation and underlying assets.
• Using precedents to draft basic structured finance documentation.
• Managing and organising transaction documentation.
• Support the coordination and preparation of transaction closings.
• Assist with post-completion registrations and other required steps.
• Prepare transaction bibles and manage the distribution of original documents.
• Liaise with clients, counterparties and other stakeholders.
• Draft emails and correspondence on behalf of fee earners.
• Undertaking legal research.
• Providing administrative and transactional support to fee earners.
• Maintaining accurate records, correspondence and documentation.
