Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Bahasa Indonesia over-the-phone interpreters to support our USCIS contract. Indonesian is a priority language for asylum and immigration cases, with remote work on USCIS-approved platforms.

We require native fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, plus 2+ years of professional interpreting experience and strict confidentiality. Remote work is available, with paid training and clear pathways for quality assurance and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, healthcare, or government preferred).
• Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Bahasa Indonesia English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
• Interpret accurately, neutrally, and professionally in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.
