Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Backend Engineer specializing in Node.js and Express.js to join a fully remote fintech startup. You will design, develop, and scale core backend services powering a pioneering financial platform.

As a technical leader, you will mentor junior engineers, drive architectural excellence, and contribute to the product roadmap. You’ll collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to deliver robust APIs, scalable microservices, and reliable data

Qualifications

7+ years in backend development with leadership experience.
Proven expertise in Node.js and Express.js.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with cloud platforms and containers is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of scalable backend services.
Architect APIs and microservices with security and reliability in mind.
Mentor backend engineers and guide technical growth.
Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver features.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines and promote code quality.
Conduct code reviews and troubleshoot production issues.
Influence long-term technical strategy.
