Job summary

Traackr is a remote-first SaaS company offering an influencer marketing platform. The role focuses on owning backend features, designing distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and ensuring data reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to ship data-driven products. The ideal candidate has a few years of backend experience, strong SQL skills, and comfort with AI coding assistants, Git, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• A few years of professional software engineering experience building backend systems.
• Growth mindset and quick learning of new tools/domains.
• Strong general-purpose programming skills and fundamentals.
• Solid debugging and performance tuning of production services.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants and validate outputs with tests and metrics.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features end-to-end: discovery, design, implementation, rollout, and maintenance.
• Design and evolve distributed systems for performance and scalability.
• Build and maintain APIs and data access patterns for analytics and search.
• Develop scalable data pipelines powering features, analytics, and ML workloads.
• Ensure data reliability, quality, and performance; monitor pipelines.
• Foster engineering best practices: code reviews, testing, incident readiness, and operational excellence.
• Apply experimentation-first approach with hypotheses, guardrails, and A/B tests when appropriate.
• Use AI coding tools productively within high standards for correctness, security, and privacy.
• Grow continuously by learning new tools, languages, and domains.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to ship intelligent, data-driven products.
• Share knowledge via documentation, pairing, and code reviews.
• Document systems, pipelines, and architecture; evolve engineering practices.
• Stay current with tools/frameworks in software, data, and AI engineering.
