Job summary

Air Apps is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain server-side components for our growing suite of utility and productivity apps. You will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust services powering features and growth.

Responsibilities include designing APIs, managing databases, and ensuring scalability, security, and quality through tests and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Go, Python, Ruby) and frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, Express.js).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and Develop Services: Design, implement, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, microservices, and server-side logic.
• Database Management: Collaborate on schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• System Scalability and Performance: Build scalable solutions for millions of users, optimize for throughput and latency.
• Security and Compliance: Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and privacy compliance.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit/integration/end-to-end tests and participate in code reviews.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting; troubleshoot production issues.
