Job summary

Air Apps is seeking a Backend QA Engineer to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of our backend systems. You will test APIs, databases, and services while collaborating with engineers to maintain high-quality standards across the platform.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience with backend technologies like Node.js and TypeScript and will contribute to test design, automation, API validation, and infrastructure review to uphold a strong quality culture within the team.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in backend testing or software development in test roles.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript in backend environments.
• Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and API testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute tests for backend systems including APIs, databases, and services.
• Validate API functionality and performance using Postman, Swagger or similar tools.
• Test database operations, queries, and data integrity in PostgreSQL or similar systems.
• Review PRs with engineering to ensure code quality and test coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for backend services.
• Identify reliability or performance issues in backend infrastructure.
• Document defects and test results using TestRail or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to improve testing strategies.
