Job summary

ioet is seeking a Backend Engineer to join a globally distributed team. You will build, maintain, and improve backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot while ensuring reliability and performance in production systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review AI-generated code, and work with cutting-edge tools like Claude Code to optimize development workflows. This position is fully remote with USD compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and investigate support tickets from clients, including errors, configuration requests, and operational issues.
• Analyze logs, API behavior, monitoring alerts, and system data to identify root causes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Make or coordinate configuration changes within the system based on client needs.
• Use tools like Datadog or similar platforms to monitor system health and performance.
• Use API tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or curl to test requests, validate behavior, and troubleshoot issues.
