Job summary

Teleport is seeking product-focused systems engineers to work on Teleport Core Product. You will tackle performance, security, and networking challenges, and contribute across the full product lifecycle from understanding customer problems to documentation.

Most code written will be Go and open source as Teleport remains an open core project. You will join an access team delivering secure, passwordless access at scale for large deployments while growing your leadership and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive Go experience.
• Extensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems and platforms.
• Strong team leadership and management experience.
• Linux systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models.
• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to master new technologies.
• Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.
• Significant contributions in Open Source is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on scalability, performance, and reliability of Teleport in large deployments.
• Design, develop, and ship outstanding, high-quality products.
• Write most of the code in Go.
• You’ll join one of Teleport's access teams. These teams build secure, passwordless access to every kind of infrastructure, using short lived credentials, and it has to work at the scale of our largest customers.
• Improve observability, tracing and failure handling so the access layer can be debugged at scale.
• Grow your technical expertise.
• Lead a distributed team of outstanding engineers.
