Job summary

Teleport is seeking product-focused systems engineers to work on Teleport Core Product. You’ll tackle performance, security, and scalability, writing Go and shipping high-quality features for a global, remote-first team.

You will lead distributed engineering efforts, improve observability, and grow your technical leadership while building zero-trust security into scalable access across large deployments.

Qualifications

• Extensive Go experience.
• Extensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems and platforms.
• Strong team leadership and engineering management experience.
• Linux systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models.
• Willingness to master new technologies with curiosity.
• Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.
• Significant contributions in Open Source are a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on scalability, performance, and reliability of Teleport in large deployments.
• Design, develop, and ship outstanding, high-quality products.
• Write most of the code in Go.
• Join and lead Teleport access teams to secure, passwordless infrastructure at scale.
• Improve observability, tracing and failure handling for scalable debugging.
• Grow technical expertise and lead a distributed team of engineers.
