Job summary

Teleport is hiring backend engineers to design and implement scalable backend services and APIs that secure access controls, auditing tools, and identity workflows in a remote-first, globally distributed team.

You will work on integrating with cloud providers, ensuring scalability for large clusters, and building secure, identity-aware solutions for Linux and macOS users. Go or Rust experience and Linux expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Design and implement backend services and APIs for access controls, auditing tools, and identity workflows.
• Go or Rust experience required, plus strong Linux systems engineering.
• Knowledge of cryptography engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build backend integrations with cloud provider managed databases.
• Improve scalability and resiliency of clusters with 10K+ nodes.
• Implement an advanced HTTPS proxy with identity-aware access control.
• Develop hardened security for Linux and macOS environments.
