Qualifications

• Strong SQL and data modeling skills with production systems experience.
• Solid backend engineering fundamentals and problem solving.
• Good debugging, performance tuning, and code quality practices.
• Proactive communication and teamwork across functions.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools and evaluation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features end-to-end from discovery to deployment.
• Design and evolve distributed systems for performance and scalability.
• Build and maintain APIs and data access patterns for analytics and search.
• Develop scalable data pipelines powering features and ML workloads.
• Ensure data reliability, quality, and timely delivery across systems.
• Maintain engineering discipline with reviews, tests, and incident readiness.
• Incorporate AI tooling responsibly and manage prompts as artifacts.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineers to ship data-driven products.
• Document systems, pipelines, and architecture; share knowledge.
