United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Intermediate Backend Engineer for Analytics Instrumentation. You will design and build a unified data collection platform with Go, Kubernetes, ClickHouse and NATS, delivering reliable instrumentation for product usage and billing data across SaaS and self-managed environments.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to balance usability, data quality and scalable performance, improving observability and data reliability across the analytics stack at

Qualifications

• Experience with platform or infrastructure systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in the Go programming language, with experience building and maintaining production services.
• Backend development experience for scalable, reliable systems serving internal and external customers.
• Familiarity with system reliability, performance at scale, data quality, and observability.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with product teams, data consumers, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cloud native technologies and open source development practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a unified data collection platform using Golang, Kubernetes, ClickHouse, and NATS, with reliability, performance, and adoption as success measures.
• Improve emission, transit, and quality of instrumentation data across the system.
• Support usage billing and instrumentation systems with timely incident handling and reliable service restoration.
• Collaborate with research & development teams and the enterprise data organization to deliver common solutions.
• Contribute to technical choices balancing ease of use with reliability and correctness for data consumers.
