Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking an Services Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms on Microsoft Azure and Fabric.

You’ll collaborate with Solution Engineers, Project Managers, and client stakeholders to implement secure, scalable data solutions for analytics, reporting, and AI use cases. The role is hands-on, delivery-focused, with initial workstreams in state-level public sector and regulated industries; remote-first with home

Qualifications

• Hands-on delivery of modern data engineering solutions on Azure
• Experience building data lakehouse/warehouse solutions on Azure
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical designs

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure data services
• Build and optimize data lakehouse and warehouse solutions in Azure and Microsoft Fabric
• Develop and maintain data models, ETL/ELT processes, and historical data versioning
• Configure and manage ADLS Gen2 environments and lifecycle strategies
• Implement data validation, cleansing, and quality controls for trusted data platforms
• Collaborate with BI/analytics teams to prepare data for reporting and AI workloads
• Apply security best practices including encryption and access control, HIPAA and NIST compliance
• Support data governance including lineage and access patterns
• Implement monitoring and operational reporting for pipelines and data platforms
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources across cloud and on‑premises
• Participate in workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements gathering
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions
• Produce design artifacts, migration plans, and runbooks
• Contribute to reusable frameworks and best practices
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and QA processes
• Follow CI/CD and environment promotion strategies
• Support post-implementation activities and client enablement
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for deliverables
