Job summary

SHI International Corp. seeks a Services Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms using Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Principal Engineers, PMs, and client stakeholders to implement secure, scalable data pipelines powering analytics and AI use cases. This hands-on, delivery-focused role is largely remote with a home office setup.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience delivering modern data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics enablement.
• Experience designing and operating production data platforms with data modeling, incremental processing, and governance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for translating business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and related Azure data services
• Build and optimize data lakehouse and warehouse solutions in Azure and Microsoft Fabric for scalability, security, and cost efficiency
• Develop and maintain data models, ETL/ELT processes, and historical data versioning to support multi-source datasets
• Configure and manage Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 environments, including lifecycle management and archival strategies
• Implement data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and quality controls for trusted data platforms
• Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to prepare data for reporting, analytics, and AI consumption
• Apply security best practices including encryption, identity-based access control, and HIPAA/NIST compliance considerations
• Support data governance, including lineage, access patterns, and operational readiness
• Implement monitoring and operational reporting for pipelines and data platforms
