Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate reliable data pipelines on the Azure data platform. You will ingest, model, and deliver high‑quality data using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Delta Lake for trusted analytics and self‑service BI.

The role requires 2+ years of hands‑on data engineering, strong SQL/PySpark, and collaboration with BI developers and business stakeholders. This is a remote role in the United States with occasional travel and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong SQL and Python (PySpark) skills with performance tuning.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, DLT, and data governance tools.
• Hands-on data engineering on Azure/Spark and data modeling for analytics.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support end‑to‑end ELT pipelines in Databricks/ADF.
• Implement data quality checks with alerting and remediation runbooks.
• Build analytics‑ready Delta tables using dimensional modeling.
• Manage CDC, schema drift, and partitioning strategies.
• Monitor, log, and provide on‑call support for data jobs.
• Collaborate with Data Architect on governance, security, and cost.
