Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Azure Commercial Cloud Engineer to support VA Data Modernization. This fully remote role focuses on designing, provisioning, and automating cloud-based data workspaces using Databricks and Delta Lake integrations.

You will lead teams of data engineers and security professionals, develop IaC with Terraform, and implement onboarding workflows to accelerate new workspace setups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years experience in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Expertise with the Azure commercial cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Azure Commercial cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
• Design, deploy, maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure for mission-critical environments.
• Engineer automated Azure landing zones and provisioning processes for fast onboarding.
• Lead migration from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based solutions.
• Build and maintain Databricks catalogs and VHA Data Lake integrations.
• Provide white-glove support to new and existing users and document processes.
