Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to architect and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will move and orchestrate data across enterprise systems, owning the API lifecycle from design to security in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes Azure services, API security, Java/Spring development, and CI/CD with Git, in a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and developing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong API lifecycle management experience with Azure API Management.
• Proven API security experience with Azure Active Directory, plus mTLS and throttling.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and GraphQL for API development.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop solutions on Microsoft Azure using Azure services for data movement and orchestration.
• Own the full API lifecycle including design, security, analytics, and monitoring.
• Develop APIs using GraphQL, Java, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitHub Actions in Agile/Scrum teams.
