Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to architect and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will move, transform, and orchestrate data securely across enterprise systems as part of an Agile delivery team. The role requires API design, security with Azure AD, and Java/Spring/GraphQL development.

Remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States; in-person interviews may be required at Cognizant offices or client sites based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and developing Azure-based solutions.
• Strong API lifecycle management with Azure API Management.
• Proven API security using Azure AD, plus policy enforcement and mTLS.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot, and GraphQL.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and CI/CD tooling in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Azure-based cloud solutions for data movement and orchestration.
• Own API lifecycle and security across REST/OpenAPI, GraphQL.
• Implement authentication/authorization with Azure AD and enforce security policies.
• Develop APIs using Java, Spring and GraphQL.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Git/GitHub Actions in an Agile/Scrum environment.
