Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to architect and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure that securely move and orchestrate data across enterprise systems.

You will own the API lifecycle with Azure API Management, implement authentication with Azure Active Directory, and develop APIs in Java with Spring Boot and GraphQL, while building CI/CD pipelines in Git/GitHub Actions in an Agile/Scrum team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and developing solutions on Microsoft Azure with Azure Functions, Data Factory, Storage.
• Strong API lifecycle management experience with Azure API Management, including REST/OpenAPI design and security.
• Authentication/authorization with Azure Active Directory and custom API security policies, mTLS, throttling.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot and GraphQL for API development.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and CI/CD tooling in Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Azure-based cloud-native solutions for data movement and orchestration.
• Own the full API lifecycle using Azure API Management, including design, versioning, security and analytics.
• Implement API security with Azure AD, mTLS, and implement throttling policies.
• Develop APIs using GraphQL and Java/Spring Boot, and build/maintain CI/CD pipelines with Git/GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams with cross-functional stakeholders.
