Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is hiring an experienced Cloud Application Developer to modernize enterprise apps and migrate Power Platform solutions to Azure-native apps. You will assess Power Apps, define migration strategies, and design cloud-native apps using React, .NET, REST APIs, microservices, and Azure services.

You will lead technical design, development, migrations, and production readiness, collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring developers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application development, cloud application development, and/or cloud modernization.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud-native architecture and application development.
• Experience with React, .NET, REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise system integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL, including data models, migration and performance considerations.
• Experience with GitHub/GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, CI/CD automation, Azure security, Application Insights, troubleshooting, and cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing Power Apps/Power Platform apps, documenting architecture, components, integrations, data flows and deployment approaches; define migration strategies for Azure.
• Design and develop cloud-native enterprise apps using React, .NET, REST APIs, microservices and Azure services across frontend, backend, integrations, authentication and APIs.
• Design Azure Cosmos DB and Azure SQL data solutions, including data models, partitioning, migration and performance optimization.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for automated builds, tests, security checks, deployments and monitoring (Application Insights).
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, troubleshooting, migration efforts, production readiness, and engineering-standards enforcement while mentoring teams.
