Job summary

Smart Tech Skills LLC is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer – AI & Automation to administer and govern enterprise cloud infrastructure and AI platforms in Microsoft Azure for a financial institution. The role emphasizes governance, security, and automated pipelines over software development.

Responsibilities include configuring Azure AI Foundry and MCP integrations, applying Purview-based guardrails, and delivering secure, compliant cloud workloads with IaC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud systems engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations.
• 3+ years building, administering, and operating enterprise workloads in Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience administering AI platforms (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI).
• Knowledge of MCP or equivalent AI integration patterns for safe boundaries.
• IaC templates in Bicep/ARM/Terraform; CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Strong Azure identity, networking, security governance (Entra ID, Key Vault, Zero Trust).
• PowerShell and Python scripting for infra and admin tasks.
• Experience configuring REST API gateways and event-driven services (Azure API Management, Event Grid, Service Bus).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate enterprise AI platforms (Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude).
• Configure model parameters, controls, quotas, logging, and production deployments.
• Govern MCP integrations and secure data-handling boundaries between AI platforms and enterprise systems.
• Implement AI governance and guardrails using Purview, content filters, prompts, and human-in-the-loop reviews.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra and platform updates.
