Job summary

Invesco is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise Azure cloud platform, enabling AI-powered engineering capabilities across the organization.

You will partner with security and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions, driving automation, governance, and developer productivity with GenAI technologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure engineering and architecture experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale cloud platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.
• Experience leveraging automation, AI-assisted engineering tools, or Generative AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Azure cloud platform capabilities, landing zones, and shared services.
• Define reference architectures, engineering standards, and reusable patterns for secure cloud adoption.
• Lead technical decisions related to cloud architecture, resiliency, security, observability, and operational excellence.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging Azure, cloud-native, and Generative AI technologies.
• Help establish enterprise patterns for AI-enabled platforms, automation, and intelligent operations.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and platform automation with CI/CD and GitOps.
