Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, integrate, and support cloud-native solutions across Payments, Money Movement, and Information Reporting platforms. The role emphasizes hands-on AWS technologies and a strong focus on scalable, secure enterprise systems.

You'll participate in design, coding, testing, and production support, collaborating with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering and architecture experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, IAM, and KMS.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience with Docker and OpenShift.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Ability to build highly available, secure, scalable enterprise solutions.
• Proven experience leading development teams and making architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
