Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking an AWS Assessor to support the Department of Education's CPSS. This is a remote role with a Washington, DC focus for DoED programs.

The ideal candidate will bring ten years of security experience, CISSP or equivalent, and strong CSPM/Cloud security expertise to drive compliance and risk reduction. Responsibilities include cloud security assessments, FedRAMP alignment, SCT planning, and ATO support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least ten (10) years related experience.
• Five (5) years of experience as a Security Controls Assessor or similar audit findings response role with a focus on cloud-based security.
• Senior industry certification such as CISSP or equivalent.
• Experience with Cloud security architecture, network security, IAM.
• Familiarity with CSPM tools and security as code methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Implement security strategies for cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Conduct cloud security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Understand FedRAMP and FedRAMP assessment requirements.
• Analyze cloud security requirements and recommend improvements.
• Assess CSPM tool findings and security controls effectiveness.
• Prepare security compliance reports and SCT plan.
• Deliver final cloud analysis report with findings.
• Review cloud system artifacts in support of ATO requests.
