CAI is seeking a QA/Disaster Recovery Test Engineer for a fully remote, full-time role. The engineer will execute test plans and lead DR cycles across two GovCloud regions, ensuring recovery objectives are met and data integrity is preserved during failovers and migrations.

The position requires 3+ years in cloud QA, hands-on AWS GovCloud (US), experience with DR validation, and U.S. citizenship due to GovCloud access. Remote work and state government-related context apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA or test engineering experience in cloud environments.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud (US) experience — not commercial AWS.
• Experience validating disaster-recovery failover against defined RPO/RTO targets.
• Must be a U.S. citizen — this role has hands-on-keyboard access to GovCloud.

Responsabilités

• Execute test plans validating disaster-recovery failover across two GovCloud regions against defined RPOs and RTOs.
• Lead recurring DR test cycles, documenting results and tracking remediation items to closure.
• Validate data integrity after failover or migration events (row counts, checksums, referential integrity).
• Support cutover rehearsals during transition, including rollback-procedure validation.
• Partner with the Technical Development Lead and DevOps/SRE team on test environment setup.
