Job summary

CAI is seeking a QA/Disaster Recovery Test Engineer to execute test plans and lead DR test cycles for an AWS GovCloud hosting environment supporting a state government health and human services client. We are looking for a QA/Disaster Recovery Test Engineer for a full-time, fully remote opportunity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA or test engineering in cloud environments.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud (US) experience — not commercial AWS.
• Experience validating disaster-recovery failover against defined RPO/RTO targets.
• Must be a U.S. citizen for GovCloud access.

Responsibilities

• Execute DR test plans across two GovCloud regions meeting defined recovery-point and recovery-time objectives.
• Lead recurring DR test cycles, documenting results and tracking remediation items to closure.
• Validate data integrity after failover or migration events — row counts, checksums, referential integrity, and dashboard output comparison against the source environment.
• Support cutover rehearsals during transition, including rollback-procedure validation.
• Partner with the Technical Development Lead and DevOps/SRE team on test environment setup.
