Job summary

CAI is seeking a QA/Disaster Recovery Test Engineer to execute test plans and lead DR test cycles for an AWS GovCloud hosting environment supporting a state government health and human services client.

Qualifications

3+ years of QA or test engineering experience in cloud environments.
Hands-on AWS GovCloud (US) experience — not commercial AWS alone.
Experience validating disaster-recovery failover against defined RPO/RTO targets.
Must be a U.S. citizen — this role has hands-on-keyboard access to the GovCloud environment.
Experience with data validation/reconciliation at scale (checksums, referential integrity checks).
HIPAA-regulated or PHI-scale environments awareness requested.
AWS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute test plans validating disaster-recovery failover across two GovCloud regions against defined RPO/RTO targets.
Lead recurring DR test cycles, documenting results and tracking remediation items to closure.
Validate data integrity after failover or migration events via checksums and referential integrity checks.
Support cutover rehearsals during transition, including rollback-procedure validation.
Collaborate with Tech Development Lead and DevOps/SRE for test environment setup.
