Job summary

Tripoint Solutions is hiring a Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You’ll work with cloud, Salesforce, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant.

Location: Remote (US). Requires ~5+ years of cloud engineering, hands-on AWS GovCloud, and MuleSoft/Salesforce integration experience. Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT and strong security focus are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
~5+ years in cloud engineering or operations.
Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft.
Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
Proficiency with IAM policy design, KMS, least-privilege access.
Linux system administration proficiency.
Python for automation and scripting.
CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
Working knowledge of cloud security principles and hardening.
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or SysOps) or Salesforce/MuleSoft certs.
Risk Management Framework / ATO support / STIG / vulnerability scanning.
Monitoring with CloudWatch or Splunk.
Prior federal contract experience.

Responsibilities

Build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program.
Integrate AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft interfaces.
Develop AWS Glue data pipelines and S3 lifecycle policies.
Ensure security via least-privilege access, encryption, and network isolation.
Implement and maintain IAM/KMS and secrets management.
Embed security scanning and CI/CD monitoring in pipelines.
Support STIG, RMF, ATO activities and timely vulnerability remediation.
Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artifacts.
Automate operational tasks with Python.
Collaborate with cloud, Salesforce, integration, and data teams.
