Job summary

Tripoint Solutions LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will collaborate with the Salesforce, integration, and data teams to maintain secure, available, and compliant environments.

Requirements include 5+ years in cloud engineering, hands-on AWS GovCloud experience, IAM/KMS expertise, and Python automation. Remote work option, with federal contract exposure valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• Hands-on AWS compute, storage, networking, and identity (VPC design, subnets, routing, peering, Route 53, load balancing, VPN/ Direct Connect).
• Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce and hands-on MuleSoft.
• Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• Proficiency in IAM policy design, KMS, and least-privilege access.
• Linux system administration.
• Python for automation and scripting.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Cloud security principles and hardening practices.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Assoc/Pro) or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
• Salesforce or MuleSoft certification.
• RMF/ATO support, STIGs, vulnerability scanning (ACAS/Nessus).
• Monitoring/observability with CloudWatch or Splunk.
• Prior federal contract experience.
• Video is required during interview and standups.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infra for a federal education program.
• Collaborate with Salesforce, integration, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant.
• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud services (EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, VPCs, subnets, SGs, Route 53).
• Integrate AWS with Salesforce using MuleSoft interfaces.
• Develop AWS Glue pipelines for secure data movement.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Secure RDS and data services with least-privilege, encryption, network isolation.
• IAM policy design, KMS, and secret management.
• Embed security scanning and CI/CD checks into pipelines.
• Support RMF/ATO, STIG, and vulnerability remediation on contract timelines.
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change artifacts for high availability.
• Automate operational work with Python.
