Job summary

Tripoint Solutions LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will collaborate with cloud, Salesforce, and data teams to ensure secure, available environments while adhering to compliance and security controls.

Required: 5+ years in cloud engineering, hands-on GovCloud, IAM/KMS, and Python automation. Remote work with potential occasional travel; prior federal contract experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations.
• Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• Hands-on AWS compute, storage, networking, and identity.
• Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• Proficiency with IAM policy design, KMS, and least-privilege access.
• Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or equivalents.
• Cloud security principles and hardening practices.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
• Salesforce or MuleSoft certification.
• Risk Management Framework, ATO support, STIG implementation, or ACAS/Nessus.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Build and support integrations between AWS and Salesforce (MuleSoft).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue pipelines for data movement.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, retention policies.
• Secure RDS and data services with least-privilege access, encryption, network isolation.
• Manage IAM/KMS, secrets management.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (scanning, monitoring).
• Support ATO, STIG, and vulnerability remediation on timelines.
• Maintain deployment runbooks and change control artifacts.
• Automate operational tasks with Python.
• Monitor with CloudWatch or Splunk.
