Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking an AWS Cloud Financial Operations Analyst to manage cloud spend, optimize costs, and govern FinOps processes during a major AWS migration. The role emphasizes building budgets, forecasts, and financial models to enhance visibility and accountability.

You will collaborate with cloud engineering and technology leadership to drive cost efficiency and formalize the FinOps program, with a hybrid onsite/remote work arrangement and EST scheduling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FinOps, technology finance, cloud financial management, or IT financial analysis.
• Experience supporting AWS environments and consumption-based cloud pricing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, AWS CUR, Cloudability, CloudHealth; Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
• Experience partnering with infrastructure and cloud engineering during cloud migrations.

Responsibilities

• Support financial management, optimization, and governance for cloud spend.
• Analyze AWS consumption and cost trends to improve visibility.
• Build budgets, forecasts, and financial models for cloud planning.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive accountability for cloud spend.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud engineering, and leadership during migrations.
• Help build and scale the FinOps program.
