The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software or data engineering with AWS, deep SQL skills, and experience migrating XML data into cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare data platform modernization.
• Migrate XML object store to cloud-native AWS architecture for SQL-based reporting.
• Evaluate AWS data strategy and storage options (S3+Athena, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch).
• Design and build reporting/query layer for non-technical users.
• Architect migration path from MSSQL XML store to AWS platform.
• Build and maintain AWS data catalog, schemas, and metadata management.
• Optimize query performance and cost across AWS services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into data models.
• Coordinate with .NET engineers on data flows from EDI to data layer.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with AWS tooling; IaC with CDK/CloudFormation/Terraform.
• Document architecture decisions and data dictionaries.
