Job summary

K2United is seeking a Cloud Administrator to manage AWS-hosted systems, keeping them current, available, and well maintained. You’ll gain hands-on experience across Linux, Windows, databases, and cloud infrastructure while coordinating with Cloud Engineers.

You’ll follow runbooks, perform patches, and document changes with a focus on reliability and cross-platform knowledge. This remote role offers growth in a mission-driven team focused on improvement and work/life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with or supporting AWS environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems.
• Foundational knowledge of databases and systems administration concepts.
• Experience with patching, maintenance, vulnerability management, or related operations.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and change management processes.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn across multiple infrastructure platforms.
• Familiarity with Terraform and AWS tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute patching and maintenance across Linux, Windows, database, and AWS environments.
• Follow change management, validation, and documentation practices.
• Triage platform issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Support cross-platform work under Cloud Engineer guidance.
• Use runbooks and monitoring tools to document findings and detect patterns.
• Participate in platform reviews and incidents to understand interdependencies.
• Contribute to a growing knowledge base of resolved issues and best practices.
