Job summary

HireArt is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops/System Admin for an AWS-based infrastructure role with a focus on reliability and lifecycle management. The position is remote for U.S.-based candidates, with a preference for PST hours.

Expected compensation: 68.00 - 80.00 USD Per Hour. You will own upgrades, patching, automation, and monitoring to reduce operational overhead and improve security and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AWS administration.
• Hands-on with core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS).
• Experience managing patching programs and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Scripting for automation (Bash, Python).
• Monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Strong security and reliability best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute upgrades across AWS environments, including services, runtimes, and dependencies.
• Remediate end-of-life or end-of-support systems (OS, RDS, ElastiCache, etc.).
• Manage large-scale patching with minimal downtime.
• Identify repetitive tasks and implement automation and monitoring improvements.
• Monitor health and performance using Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Maintain infrastructure with AWS SSM, Terraform, Atlantis, and Kubernetes.
