Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Earth City, Missouri (Remote) to drive the AWS cloud migration of legacy .NET components and work with the onshore Scrum team on requirements, backlog, and sprint delivery.

You will containerize Windows apps, refactor components, migrate to AWS, and re-architect systems for cloud readiness while embedding DevSecOps practices and ensuring security and high availability across environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with hosting/infrastructure and security concepts (IAM, PKI).
• Experience with monitoring, automation, and operational support of cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Containerize Windows-based applications and services.
• Refactor legacy Windows components.
• Migrate Windows components from on-premises to AWS.
• Re-architect applications from on-premises to AWS ecosystem.
• Support Finance and Treasury apps across AWS and Azure.
• Embed DevSecOps pipelines and strengthen non-functional requirements.
• Enhance production resiliency from Single-AZ to Multi-AZ.
• Improve cutover and switchover strategies.
• Deliver regional resiliency and enhanced CloudWatch monitoring.
