Job summary

IMPAXX is seeking an AVP, Settlement Strategies to lead Medicare Secondary Payer compliance efforts for complex workers’ compensation and liability claims. You will guide internal teams and clients through structured settlement options and MSP programs.

The role requires a strong background in workers’ compensation, MSP knowledge, and the ability to manage multifaceted projects while maintaining confidentiality. Remote work within the USA is supported with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7–10 years workers’ compensation claims experience.
• At least 5 years California workers’ compensation claims experience; experience settling complex claims.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced PowerPoint; strong communication and confidentiality.
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, a life insurance producer license.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative guidance on MSP compliance and Medicare Set-Asides for workers’ compensation and liability claims.
• Participate in client discussions to address questions, explain options, review mitigation strategies, and support claim resolution.
• Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and build strong client relationships with assigned accounts.
• Develop and deliver client education materials, webinars, trainings, and marketing content.
• Travel ~20% to meet with clients, deliver presentations, and attend industry events.
